Mullins throws a looping overhand right but Shannon ducks down to avoid it.
Shannon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mullins misses with a jab to the body
and Shannon counters with a straight right hand.
Mullins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Shannon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mullins sprawls well. Mullins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shannon gets slowly back to his feet.

and Mullins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mullins.
Shannon is pressed up against the cage. Mullins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shannon down to the mat. Shannon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Shannon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mullins feinted with a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
