Chad throws the left hand but Laurent avoids the punch easily.
Laurent shoots in but no luck this time.
Laurent has his takedown stuffed
and Chad connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Laurent fails with the takedown.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Chad! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adelard Laurent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Laurent shoots in looking for a takedown but Chad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Laurent's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Laurent avoids a punch combination nicely.

Chad creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Laurent's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Laurent drops to his knees and Chad pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Gunnarsson tries to clinch there but Laurent circles away.

Laurent closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gunnarsson to the mat! Gunnarsson manages to get full guard.

Laurent works to advance to full mount. Gunnarsson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Laurent is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Gunnarsson with him. Gunnarsson is trying to defend but Laurent has an arm under the chin now! Gunnarsson grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Laurent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brenton's guard.
