#R1##TD# Rot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Larkin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Larkin stands and throws Rot's legs to the side, diving into side control. Check out the look on Larkin's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Larkin lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rot down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee asks Larkin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Larkin prefers to stall for the moment though. Rot is working to avoid the ground and pound but Larkin connects with a decent elbow. Larkin happy to just control the position for now. #T1# Larkin creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Larkin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Rot some visible discomfort.
Larkin works to advance to full mount. Rot defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Larkin raining down hammerfists from mount. Larkin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Larkin manages to capitalize on a mistake by Rot to take his back! Larkin lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Rot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Larkin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T2# Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Larkin.
#SUB# Larkin is cranking Rot's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Rot! He's tightened the choke and Rot is tapping out!
