Strydom working the strikes but Grant uses the opportunity to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strydom lands strikes from half guard. Grant pushes Strydom off looking to stand but Strydom dives back in and keeps control.
Strydom thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Strydom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Strydom misses with a head shot. Grant uses the momentum to regain guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Strydom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Horrible takedown attempt by Grant or perhaps it was just good defense by Strydom, which made it look bad. Grant fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graham Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Strydom dives in for a single leg takedown but Grant sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Grant shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Strydom with the counter takedown but Grant avoids it easily. Grant shoots in but Strydom avoids the takedown attempt easily. Strydom is trying hard to land a takedown here. Grant sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. #R1# Gigante shoots in for a double leg but Strydom sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.#TD# Gigante feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB2# Strydom looking for a guillotine here but Gigante defends easily.
Strydom wants to sweep but no luck. #SUB# Gigante drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Gigante as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Strydom screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Gigante! Nice submission victory there!

Strydom doesn't defend quickly enough and Gadzhiev has managed to lock this one up! Can Strydom escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gadzhiev on a fantastic submission victory.

#R1# Strydom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garza tries to avoid it but Strydom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garza to the ground. Garza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Strydom dives in and grabs Garza's left leg, looking for a takedown. Garza pushes down on Strydom's head and hops out. Garza misses with a double jab.
Strydom attempts a counter takedown but Garza avoids it well and moves away. Strydom shoots in for a takedown but Garza shows good takedown defense. Garza is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mpho Strydom. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Garza closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Strydom quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Strydom can't hide his disappointment, as Garza celebrates the victory.

Strydom wants to pass the guard but Santiago is keeping the position. Santiago seems keen to control Strydom's posture. Santiago is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Santiago lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Strydom has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Strydom is looking for a sweep. Santiago is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Strydom landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Strydom scoring with strikes to the body and head. Strydom is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Strydom is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Strydom uses his free foot to push down on Binculic's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Binculic. Strydom softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Binculic is out cold! Strydom jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
