Sutton lands an elbow inside that Gadzhiev shrugs off. #TD2# Gadzhiev pulls guard. Sutton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sutton trying to control but Gadzhiev is working from the bottom. #SUB2# Gadzhiev had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sutton defends it easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gadzhiev is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Gadzhiev eventually gives up the hold. Sutton is doing well to control the position and prevent Gadzhiev from advancing to side control. Sutton landing strikes from the bottom. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sutton defends it well. #SUB2# Gadzhiev is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sutton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gadzhiev. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sutton is trying to stand up here but Gadzhiev is controlling him well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elvin Gadzhiev dominated that round. The cut man is working on Elvin Gadzhiev's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.#R2##CL# Sutton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gadzhiev, pushing him back against the cage. Sutton creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gadzhiev's defenses. Gadzhiev misses with a punch to the body.
#BC# Sutton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gadzhiev is defended easily by Sutton. Valentin Sutton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sutton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gadzhiev. Gadzhiev drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sutton defends it well. Sutton clobbers Gadzhiev with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Sutton connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Gadzhiev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sutton finds it's way round the side to connect with Gadzhiev's head. Valentin Sutton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sutton throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
#CL# Sutton closes the distance and clinches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#BC# Sutton manages to break the clinch.

Strydom doesn't defend quickly enough and Gadzhiev has managed to lock this one up! Can Strydom escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gadzhiev on a fantastic submission victory.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
