#R1# Butler darts in looking for a takedown but Diddler gets double underhooks and turns Butler into the cage. Diddler looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Butler prevents Diddler from breaking the clinch. Diddler is trying to push Butler away but Butler has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Diddler wants to get back to striking at distance but Butler won't allow it.

Diddler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#TD# Butler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Diddler is trying to defend but Butler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.#SUB# Butler is working for a kimura but Diddler is defending it quite comfortably.
Butler landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Diddler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Diddler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Butler. Butler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Butler is nestled in close to Diddler, controlling him well. Diddler takes a swing at Jabolsagadumedov's ribcage but misses. #TD# Jabolsagadumedov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diddler to the mat! Diddler manages to get full guard. Jabolsagadumedov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jabolsagadumedov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jabolsagadumedov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #SUB2# Diddler is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jabolsagadumedov is aware though and is defending well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Diddler can do anything to dispel that myth. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diddler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control.
