Lightning feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position.

Odom fails in his attempt to clinch.
Odom shoots in but Lightning avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Igor Lightning has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Braxton Odom.

Odom content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Lightning has locked up a guillotine! Lightning's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Odom is holding on here and Lightning must be using up a lot of energy. Odom has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Lightning gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Smo has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lightning has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
