Curtis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dog was covering up waiting for the punch and Curtis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Curtis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Curtis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dog can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Curtis controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dog has control of Curtis's left arm, preventing Curtis from doing any damage.
Curtis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dog swivels though and keeps the full guard. #T1#
Curtis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. #REF3#
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Curtis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dog seems a little lost for a moment, as Curtis dominates the positioning.#SUB2#
Curtis is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Dog is trying to escape and Curtis transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Dog is forced to tap! Nice work there by Curtis! Very nice indeed!
