Redford drops Combs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Combs looks back up at him and smiles so Redford waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#CUT2#It looks like Jacob Combs has been cut.
Combs takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Redford lands a brutal uppercut that launches Combs off his feet! Combs tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randy Redford!
Randy Redford decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |

Combs closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Combs got a little sloppy there for a moment and DePriest has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Combs has managed to get both his arms back between DePriest's legs - danger averted.

DePriest is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Combs presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. #TD2#
Combs has DePriest pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Combs pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending DePriest tumbling to the mat - Combs dives into DePriest's guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. DePriest manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
DePriest slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Combs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DePriest. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
