#R1# Di Monteggi tries for a takedown but Maru circles away easily and Maru counters with a straight right hand. Maru catches Di Monteggi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!#ROC2#Di Monteggi is rocked! Di Monteggi shoots in looking for a takedown. Maru tries to sprawl out of it but Di Monteggi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maru manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Oh Di Monteggi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Maru misses with a kick to the body.
Di Monteggi seems to have got his legs back now. Di Monteggi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Maru. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Maru - that will leave a mark!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maru thows a body kick. Di Monteggi tries to catch it but that hurt him. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Di Monteggi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maru - the referee stops the clock and Di Monteggi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maru. Di Monteggi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Di Monteggi throws a right and a left that both miss. Di Monteggi is breathing heavily. The crowd cheers as Maru lands an impressive looking overhand right. Di Monteggi doesn't seem phased though. Maru connects with a body shot.#T1# Di Monteggi avoids the head kick by Maru.
Maru dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Di Monteggi. That did some damage! Di Monteggi darts in trying to clinch and Maru counters with a nice uppercut. Maru fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Di Monteggi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Di Monteggi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maru throws out the jab. Di Monteggi moves in looking to clinch but Maru pushes him off.#KD2# Maru cracks Di Monteggi with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Di Monteggi looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Maru finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Maru chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Maru lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Di Monteggi up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Maru from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Di Monteggi's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

#R1##TD2# Di Monteggi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lester to score an easy takedown into full guard. Di Monteggi wants to sweep but no luck. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Di Monteggi is on top in guard.
#REVR##SUB2# Lester has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Di Monteggi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lester. Lester tries to bench press Di Monteggi off him but Di Monteggi keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Di Monteggi passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lester! #SUB# Di Monteggi has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Lester is forced to tap!
