The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Schoots forces Askren back against the cage and clinches.
Schoots is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Askren is defending well.
Schoots tries for a takedown. No joy.
Schoots goes for a takedown in the clinch but Askren prevents it.

Askren has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Schoots clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Askren seems to be working for a kimura but Schoots defends the submission attempt.

Schoots sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
