Jaksinen throws a right hand that Jalkalukko ducks under and follows up with a left that Jalkalukko also avoids with ease.#KD# Jaksinen lands a big uppercut and Jalkalukko crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jalkalukko looks OK. Jaksinen waves Jalkalukko back to his feet!#ROC# Jalkalukko is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jaksinen catches Jalkalukko with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Jalkalukko forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

#R1# Barnard scores with the left hand. Jalkalukko knows he should have avoided that one. Barnard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jalkalukko. Barnard throws a body shot but no joy. Barnard throws a shot from downtown. Jalkalukko moves away and avoids it. Jalkalukko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jalkalukko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jalkalukko fails with a takedown attempt. Kobus Barnard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Jalkalukko. Barnard leaves Jalkalukko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jalkalukko misses with a takedown and Barnard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Barnard.
Barnard has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team AVR in the buildup to the fight.#KD# Barnard cracks Jalkalukko with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Barnard has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jalkalukko to stand back up!#ROC# Jalkalukko is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barnard lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Jalkalukko up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Barnard from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Jalkalukko's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Amaral gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Amaral working some nice short punches in the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Amaral. Jalkalukko blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jalkalukko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Amaral is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rafael Amaral has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Jalkalukko. Amaral lands with a light punch inside. Amaral lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. #ROC# Jalkalukko is rocked! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Amaral. Jalkalukko is still on wobbly legs! Can Amaral finish him? Jalkalukko drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Amaral gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jalkalukko tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Spar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spar wants it to stay on the feet. Jalkalukko moves forwards but Spar connects with a nice, crisp jab. Spar scores with a spinning back kick! Spar throws a front kick that sends Jalkalukko stumbling back into the cage. Spar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jalkalukko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spar's waist but Spar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jalkalukko off to one side. Jalkalukko looks winded! Jalkalukko on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Jalkalukko shoots in looking for a takedown but Spar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jalkalukko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Muay Thai Spar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Jalkalukko. Spar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jalkalukko misses with the body kick and Spar counters with a crisp right that sends Jalkalukko to the canvas! Spar follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Jalkalukko takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Duncan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jalkalukko's head. Duncan throws a head kick that misses. Duncan blocks a head kick by Jalkalukko.
Duncan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jalkalukko throws a leg kick and Duncan scores with a counter punch that sends Jalkalukko to the canvas! Duncan smells blood - he's punishing Jalkalukko with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jalkalukko has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Buddington tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jalkalukko lands a leg kick that knocks Buddington off balance momentarily. Buddington stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jalkalukko.#CL# Buddington takes the fight into the clinch. Buddington lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Buddington has Jalkalukko pressed against the cage, preventing Jalkalukko from circling away and getting back to striking at range.#BC# Buddington's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jalkalukko throws a chopping leg kick but Buddington manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jalkalukko walks into a stiff left hand from Buddington. Buddington ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. We've been told by Buddington's head coaches at Team Migraine that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Buddington misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Soderberg throws a leg kick but Jalkalukko moved away. A chopping leg kick lands by Jalkalukko. Soderberg throws a head kick but Jalkalukko moves out of range.

Jesse Jalkalukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Soderberg feints and then cracks Jalkalukko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jalkalukko down. Jalkalukko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jalkalukko attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. We've been hearing reports that Jalkalukko has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Keller fires out a quick counter leg kick but Jalkalukko just manages to avoid it. Keller has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jalkalukko. Jalkalukko throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Keller feints and then cracks Jalkalukko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jalkalukko down. A little feinted left hand from Keller on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jalkalukko feints and then cracks Keller's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Keller down. Jalkalukko darts in looking for a takedown but Keller gets double underhooks and turns Jalkalukko into the cage. Keller ducks under a wild hook from Jalkalukko. Keller pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jalkalukko lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. #CUT2# It looks like Virgil Keller has been cut. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tortoise creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Tortoise struggles to land a body shot inside as Jalkalukko controls his hands.
