Carter stuns Pushikov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Carter with a body punch. A glancing blow. Carter misses with a hook. Pushikov ducked under it nicely. Pushikov appears to be looking for a big counter. Carter wants to clinch. Carter looks to throw the jab but Pushikov is out of range. Nice uppercut lands for Pushikov. That snapped Carter's head back.
Carter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pushikov. Carter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

He tries to strike back but Golovkin puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Schmidt out cold! Oh man, Schmidt will never hear the end of this one!

Despite the aggression on Golovkin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Golovkin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
#TD# and Shiek counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Shiek passes to side control. Golovkin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shiek is controlling him well.#SUB# Shiek thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Shiek tries to score with some ground and pound. Golovkin controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Shiek creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Golovkin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Golovkin can do anything to dispel that myth.#T1# Shiek looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Golovkin is avoiding damage well.
