#R1# Saaim misses with a hook. Quarrel ducked under it nicely. Quarrel throws a head kick but Saaim moves out of range.
Quarrel looks for a takedown but Saaim sprawls well. Saaim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Saaim misses with a double jab
and Quarrel counters with a nice body kick. Saaim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Quarrel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saaim somewhat. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Saaim crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Quarrel - the referee stops the clock and Saaim gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Quarrel. Saaim manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quarrel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Quarrel seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Quarrel fails with an attempt to clinch.

Quarrel wants to get back to his feet but Saaim is dominant here and he's now got Quarrel's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saaim has the hooks in. Quarrel is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Quarrel trying to control the position but Saaim manages to sink in the hooks. Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#SUB2# Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Allessandri defends well. Silva told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Silva is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allessandri is one step ahead there. Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Allessandri might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fitzgerald keeps control of Lage as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lage wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fitzgerald has him pressed against the cage. Lage blocks a body shot from Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald stalls. Lage taking a breather. Lage is looking to break free of the clinch but Fitzgerald has double underhooks. Fitzgerald has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lage avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Fitzgerald pulls guard effortlessly. Lage wants to get up but he can't break Fitzgerald's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fitzgerald.
