Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Ashitaka Tamura was cancelled. |

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Craven is looking to land body kicks. Robson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Robson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Craven tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Robson was well out of range. Poor timing from Craven. Craven throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Craven bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Robson's head. Craven throws a series of punches but Robson avoids them all with ease. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Robson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Destin Craven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Craven swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Craven fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Robson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Craven shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Robson defends it nicely. Craven throws a sloppy head kick and Robson moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Robson clinches up against the cage. Craven has Robson pressed against the cage, preventing Robson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.#TD# Craven pulls guard effortlessly. #SUB# Craven pushes a forearm under Robson's chin to create some space. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bottini throws an overhand right that lands on Khan's shoulder, as Khan tries to avoid the shot. Khan shoots in for a takedown but Bottini shows good takedown defense. Khan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bottini. Khan closes the distance and clinches up with Bottini, looking for a takedown. Khan pushes Bottini against the cage but Bottini circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It looked like Bottini was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Khan. Bottini throws a hook to the side of Khan's head but Khan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Khan slips under a jab.#CL# Bottini has closed the distance and engaged Khan in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head punch blocked on the inside by Khan. Bottini can't find room to land a body shot as Khan controls the action.
#TD# Bottini has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Khan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Khan grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. #T1# Bottini is trying to stick to Khan's back but Khan is turning into Bottini. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bottini's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Khan. Bottini wants to hit a sweep here but Khan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bottini there! Bottini knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground. Khan thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Exotic lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. #CUT# It looks like Ogedei Khan has been cut. Exotic gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Exotic just misses with a elbow thrown towards Khan's brow. Khan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Exotic to keep the fight standing. Exotic using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Khan looks winded! Exotic unloads a knee to the mid-section. Khan lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Khan takes an elbow to the temple. #CUT# That has opened up Ogedei Khan's cut even more. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khan takes an elbow to the forehead. #CUT# The cut above Ogedei Khan's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Exotic lands an elbow that stopped Khan in his tracks for a moment. #CUT# Ogedei Khan's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

We've been told by Gulyas's head coaches at Cozad MMA Montreal that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.#CL# Gulyas moves into range and clinches up with Khan. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carton can do anything to dispel that myth. Carton is looking for a sweep. Carton is being controlled here. Khan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khan gets to mount! Carton was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Khan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.#T1# Carton is looking to get to half guard. Carton tries to lock up and control but Khan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Khan looking to control and managing it successfully. Khan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Khan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jackson has time to react. Jackson darts in looking for a takedown but Khan gets double underhooks and turns Jackson into the cage. Khan clobbers Jackson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A punch combination from Khan misses. Khan misses with the combination.
Khan jabs Jackson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jackson looks winded!#TD# Khan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rain Cain seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cain throws a body shot but no joy. Cain throws a series of punches but Robson moves out of range. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters circle momentarily. Cain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Cain swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Robson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Robson darts in looking for a takedown but Cain gets double underhooks and turns Robson into the cage. Cain throws out a counter right but Robson avoids it with no problem. Cain has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Robson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Robson. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL# Robson clinches up with Cain and pushes him back against the cage. Robson is trying to drag Cain to the mat but Cain just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Cain is defending well against a takedown attempt.#T3# Robson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cain's efforts to push away.#BC# Robson breaks the clinch.
Robson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Cain throws a combination. Robson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Robson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cain defends well and Robson ends up having to push Cain into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Cain misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd cheers as Cain lands an impressive looking overhand right. Robson doesn't seem phased though. Cain fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cain throws a shot to the body.
Cain scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Robson doesn't seem bothered though. Rain Cain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.#T4# Cain lands with an overhand left. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cain lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Robson backs up against the cage.

Cain shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Robson eats them both and turns towards Cain to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Cain lands with a cross. Cain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Robson. Rain Cain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Robson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cain's waist but Cain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robson off to one side. Cain lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Bobby Robson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Robson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cain tries to avoid it but Robson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cain to the ground. Cain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Rain Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
