Grant tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pikkarainen defends well and Grant ends up having to push Pikkarainen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Pekka Pikkarainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. #R1##TD# Sung closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Childress wants to get back to full guard. Childress preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Sung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Childress keeps working. Childress is trying to maintain the position but Sung is very close to passing his half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Sung's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Childress tries to get to full guard but Sung has control of the leg. Sung lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Childress punching from the bottom.

#KD# and Hard counters with a crisp one two that drops Maanantai! Hard thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Maanantai to his feet! Maanantai is in big trouble!#ROC# Maanantai is rocked! Maanantai falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Maanantai is still on wobbly legs! Can Hard finish him? Maanantai throws a combination that misses and Hard counters with a big right hand! Oh Maanantai is in trouble here! Hard follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Pikkarainen ducks under a wild hook from Coffie. Pikkarainen throws a hook to the side of Coffie's head but Coffie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Coffie scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Pikkarainen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Coffie. And Pikkarainen tries to counter it with a takedown but Coffie pushes his down on his head and steps out. Donk. Coffie catches Pikkarainen right on the button with a cross. Coffie pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Our spies down at at The PIT Hawaiian Kempo inform us that Nuutti has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? We've been hearing that Homelius has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.#ES2# Nuutti manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.#BC2# Nuutti breaks the clinch.

I was talking to Correira's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Stebson. Correira throws an elbow that misses.
