Tussling throws a lazy right hand but Hickson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hickson fails in his attempt to clinch. Tussling throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hickson throws a head kick but Tussling moves out of range.
Hickson slips under a jab from Tussling. Hickson shoots in looking for a takedown but Tussling manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hickson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hickson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tussling swivels and escapes. Tussling works the jab nicely.#CUT# It looks like James Hickson has been cut. A combination from Tussling does no damage. #TD# Tussling scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tussling controls the position from side control. Hickson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tussling. Huang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Valk keeps working. #SUB# Huang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Valk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huang moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Valk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Huang tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Huang has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #T1# Valk tries to get back to half guard but can't. Valk wants to get back to his feet. Huang working the ground and pound from side control. Huang misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Valk wants to get back to his feet. Huang has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Valk stops Huang from passing to mount. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Huang controls the position. Huang moves into full mount! Huang wants to control the pace but Valk is squirming around nicely. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Valk is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

#R1# Steve punishes Gordon's body with a nice straight punch. Good exchange - Steve coming out on top. Gordon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steve paws at him with a jab and circles away. Steve is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Steve connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gordon. Gordon circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Steve throws a shot to the body.
Gordon misses with a takedown attempt and Steve counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gordon thinking. Gordon looks winded! Steve throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Steve lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gordon circles away quickly and effectively. Steve lands with a straight right. Gordon didn't see that one coming. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steve connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Steve scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.#ROC# Gordon is rocked! Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Steve! Gordon is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

A very excited looking Jay Steve made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. Gordon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hopper after a bit of a struggle. Gordon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hopper is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Gordon is looking for a takedown. Terry Hopper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spencer Gordon.#TD2# Gordon jumps into guard, dragging Hopper to the mat.
Gordon wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gordon is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Gordon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gordon closes the distance and clinches up with Hopper, looking for a takedown. Gordon pushes Hopper against the cage but Hopper circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Gordon shoots in for a double leg but Hopper sprawls well. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hopper in particular looking to stall. Gordon avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hopper. Hopper trying to control the pace. Hopper takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hopper not doing much here.

Simard looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hickson lands a leg kick that knocks Simard off balance momentarily. Hickson tries for a takedown but Simard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hickson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Simard swivels and escapes. Hickson shoots for a double leg takedown but Simard sprawls well. He's pushed Hickson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
