#R1# Alpin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Andrew looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Andrew shoots in for a takedown but Alpin shows good takedown defense. Andrew has a takedown stuffed. Alpin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Andrew was well out of range. Poor timing from Alpin. Alpin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Alpin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Andrew's head.#CL# Alpin clinches with his opponent.
Andrew tries to score a body lock takedown but Alpin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. David Alpin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Andrew.#BC2# Andrew manages to break the clinch.

Renfro throws a hook but Long avoids it easily. A countering left hand to the body from Long misses. Long steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Renfro. Renfro's jab looks to have found its range, popping Long under the eye. Renfro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Long manages to avoid it. Long let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Renfro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Long sees it coming and avoids it easily. Despite the aggression on Long's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Renfro scores with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Long moves away from the strike by Renfro. Renfro scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.#ROC# Long is rocked! Renfro looks to score with a jab to the body but Long is just out of range. #R1# Nice body punch from Smith. Rei fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A nice side step and Smith releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Smith connects with a body shot that sends Rei's belly button to the back. Rei takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Smith ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Smith scores with a one two! Rei had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Rei moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Smith scores with a jab to the body. Rei shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side. Smith let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Nate Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Smith stalks Rei and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rei's face. Rei staggers backwards, shaken. Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rei. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kano Rei. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith jabs Rei to the body, keeping him at a distance. Smith stuns Rei with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.#T1# Rei takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rei looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well. Rei could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Smith scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Rei shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily. Rei takes a jab right on the kisser.

Rei shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smith connects with a body shot.#T2# Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rei doesn't seem bothered though. Smith connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rei momentarily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rei. Smith has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.#TD# Rei throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and Rei finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rei looking to pass the guard. Rei advances position into side control! Rei is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T3# Smith manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clowni can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones working away. Clowni tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position. #SUB# Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Clowni is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The strikes coming from Jones are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Yamamoto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Luiz avoids it really well and circles away. Yamamoto moves away from the strike by Luiz. Yamamoto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
