Wick throws a series of punches but Rodriquez avoids them all with ease. Rodriquez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wick. Rodriquez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Rodriquez shoots for a takedown but Wick saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Wick misses the target. Wick misses with a wild combination.
Wick tries to bum rush Rodriquez with a series of wild strikes but Rodriquez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rodriquez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Wick connects with a body shot that sends Rodriquez's belly button to the back. Rodriquez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.#CUT2# It looks like Curtis Rodriquez has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wick lands a slapping body shot.
Wick throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rodriquez on the side of the head. #ROC2# Rodriquez is rocked! Wick connects with a stiff jab that staggers Rodriquez - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

A quick step to the side and Conner tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Conner fails with a takedown attempt. #CL# Conner clinches up with Veleno and pushes him back against the cage. Conner can't get the takedown.
#BC2# Veleno breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Veleno shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Conner sprawls well. Conner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Veleno gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conner shoots in for a double leg but Veleno sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shad Conner. That's going to take a lot out of him.#KD2# Veleno drops Conner with a beautiful combination! #R1# Rodriquez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Good exchange - Day coming out on top. Rodriquez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A punch combination from Day misses. It looked like Rodriquez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Day throws a right hand that Rodriquez ducks under and follows up with a left that Rodriquez also avoids with ease. Jab by Day. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Day duly obliges. Day works over Rodriquez's head and body with a nice combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#TD# Rodriquez drives through with a takedown into Day's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rodriquez throwing strikes from guard but Day blocks nicely. #T1# Rodriquez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#ES2# Day has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rodriquez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Rodriquez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SU# Rodriquez decides to stand back up. #TD# Rodriquez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Laraque looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Conner seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Laraque stalks Conner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Conner's face. Conner staggers backwards, shaken.#CUT2# It looks like Shad Conner has been cut.#KD2# Laraque drops Conner with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Conner looks back up at him and smiles so Laraque waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#ROC2# Conner is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Laraque Throws a clean left jab. Laraque Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Conner's chin! Conner crumbles to the ground and Laraque follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Laraque!

As Sirovic looks to move away, Rodriquez throws a big counter combo but Sirovic just gets out of the way.#TD# Rodriquez gets the takedown into side control. Sirovic struggling a bit here. Sirovic is positioning himself to get back to half guard. A control attempt from Sirovic but he's now mounted! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodriquez throwing strikes here but Sirovic is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Rodriquez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sirovic is looking to improve his position but Rodriquez isn't that keen on the idea. Rodriquez thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Rodriquez seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Sirovic has ended up in side control on the top. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
