Green is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks. Green working hard to break the clinch. Silva stalling against the cage.
#BC2# Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#TD2# Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#ES# Green has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Green moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.#CL2# Silva moves into the clinch.#BC2# Silva breaks from the clinch.
#TD2# Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Green's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silva trying to stand up but can't free himself from Green's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Green working the head and body with strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Green seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.#T1# Green works over Silva with some ground and pound from guard. Green is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Silva trying to control the position.
Green is stalling in the full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Silva tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg. Green is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position. Green is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. North pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Bowers drops down looking for a counter takedown but North sprawls and moves away. Bowers checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Bowers attempts a counter takedown but North avoids it well and moves away. North is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. North throws a half hearted mid kick. North walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bowers checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. North scores with a jab to the jaw. North tries a head kick but it misses.
Bowers throws a quick counter head kick but North was just out of range. Bowers tries to close the distance and clinch up but North swats him away and circles back towards the center. Miles North seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. North lands with a kick to the temple. Bowers shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Bowers on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Brooks scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chen to see if he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chen takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

An inside leg kick lands from Edwards. Edwards throws a body kick that misses. Chase went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Edwards misses with a leg kick and Chase counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Edwards bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Edwards lands the left hand. Edwards misses with a double jab.
A quick step to the side and Chase tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Chase changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to avoid it but Chase manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Edwards to the ground. Edwards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Chase uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Edwards.#KD2# Edwards lands a big head kick that sends Chase tumbling to the mat! Edwards takes a step backwards and waves Chase back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2# Chase is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Manual Chase has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A decent looking body kick lands there for Edwards.
