#R1# Wuerdig looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Dotson tries to counter with a takedown but Wuerdig is quick to defend against it.#TD2# Wuerdig is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dotson's half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wuerdig connects with a nice short shot to Dotson's temple. Dotson is trying to stand back up but Wuerdig is controlling him
Dotson is pressing down on Wuerdig's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dotson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wuerdig is taking a break and basically stalling. Wuerdig is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wuerdig working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dotson circles away from the clinch attempt and Dotson counters with a series of strikes. Wuerdig tries to clinch but Dotson moves out of range. Dotson feinted with a counter takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Siggi Wuerdig showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#TD2# Wuerdig closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dotson's guard. Wuerdig won't allow Dotson to get back to his feet. Dotson is controlling Wuerdig's posture. Dotson wants to stand up but Wuerdig is controlling him. Dotson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wuerdig. Wuerdig takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dotson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Dotson is looking to take a break and control but Wuerdig is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T4# Dotson throwing strikes but Wuerdig manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Dotson tries to escape but Wuerdig is in control. Dotson is looking for a sweep. Dotson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wuerdig is controlling him well. You can see the frustration on Dotson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Siggi Wuerdig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wuerdig has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
