No luck with that takedown attempt from Gustavo. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Glee! But no joy. Glee cracks Gustavo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gustavo. A nice side step and Glee releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.#T1# Gustavo misses with a body shot.
Gustavo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Glee finds it's way round the side to connect with Gustavo's head. Glee scores with a punch to the head. Gustavo avoids the head kick by Glee.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Gustavo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gustavo moves forwards but Glee connects with a nice, crisp jab. Left hook, right uppercut from Costa. #CUT2# It looks like Walloping Willy Wallace has been cut. A head kick from Wallace lands but Costa takes it in his stride. Costa scores with a punch to the head. Wallace uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Costa. Costa fails to land with a series of punches.
Costa takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Costa thows a left - swing and a miss! Wallace buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Costa gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

#TD# Fang has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Aalto uses from the top position. Aalto with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Aalto works over Fang with some ground and pound from guard.#SUB# Fang looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

#R1# Heinrich wants to clinch. Heinrich tries to land a front kick but Frye steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Heinrich thows a leg kick but Frye checks it and Frye counters with a lovely straight right hand! Heinrich buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Frye slips under a jab. Frye cracks Heinrich with a right hand to the side of the head. Heinrich fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Frye. Frye avoids a kick to the body.
Frye circles away from the clinch attempt and Frye counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frye fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Heinrich on the side of the head. Frye tests Heinrich's chin there with a solid looking shot. Heinrich fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Frye checks it well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice body kick from Heinrich.#T1# Frye connects with a good right hand that stumbles Heinrich. Heinrich circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nice cross by Frye. Frye clobbers Heinrich with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Frye lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.#ROC# Heinrich is rocked! Heinrich throws a leg kick that is checked and Frye counters with a big right hand! Oh Heinrich is in trouble here! Frye follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Fight Wear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you. Grady looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Pekka Pera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pera paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Grady sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Pera has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Pera throws a leg kick which misses Grady's front leg but catches the back leg as Grady tries to avoid it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grady takes a jab on the nose. Ruttenum looks up at the clock and then as Lion takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ruttenum smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

We've been told by Lion's head coaches at The Fortress that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Grady winds up and cracks Mamedov with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mamedov is in trouble now - Grady has advanced to mount! Grady content just to control the position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grady seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mamedov for as long as he can get away with. Grady has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mamedov's face.
