Horrible takedown attempt by Luis or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcgregor, which made it look bad.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Luis is defended easily by Mcgregor.
Mcgregor misses with a wild combination.
Luis has his takedown stuffed
and Mcgregor counters with a nice uppercut.
Conor Mcgregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Luis.
Mcgregor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luis's waist but Luis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mcgregor off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luis dives in for a single leg takedown but Mcgregor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Luis closes the distance looking to clinch
and Mcgregor scores with a counter punch that sends Luis to the canvas! Mcgregor smells blood - he's punishing Luis with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Luis has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
