GL throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mnusk tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. GL is in Mnusk's guard.
GL throws a big right hand that misses.
Mnusk looking for a sweep. Not yet Mnusk, not yet.
Mnusk working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from GL.
GL looking to pass the guard.

GL trying to control but Mnusk is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
GL is pushing down on Mnusk's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mnusk is fighting to maintain full guard but GL has managed to sneak the leg through.
GL seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Well, if GL is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mnusk wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
GL wants to pass the guard but Mnusk is keeping the position.
GL not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

GL drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and GL jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
GL postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. #T4#
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
GL postures up in Mnusk's guard and throws a big left but Mnusk blocks it.
Mnusk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for GL on the ground.
Mnusk is trying to control the position from the bottom.
GL slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Mnusk controls GL momentarily but GL frees himself. #SUB2#

GL wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mnusk keeps working.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Boban GL dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.#R2#

GL doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mnusk lands a nice hook to GL's body. GL takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
GL on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Mnusk scores with a crisp jab that stopped GL in his tracks.
GL goes for a double leg but Mnusk avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mnusk continues to drive forward.
Mnusk was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Mnusk drops GL with a big left hand! GL is injured, injured bad! Mnusk jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Brandao throws a head kick that misses.
Bogdan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Brandao scores with a kick to the body.

Brandao has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bogdan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brandao walks away with a smile on his face. Bogdan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Diego Brandao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brandao on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bogdan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ioachim Bogdan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bogdan or perhaps it was just good defense by Brandao , which made it look bad.

Brandao 's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Brandao 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
