A momentary lapse in concentration from Killer enables Wiley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Killer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Nice takedown defense from Maier. No joy for Nielsen on that attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Maier misses.
Nielsen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maier but Maier pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nielsen shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilber Nielsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nielsen.
Nielsen shoots for a double leg takedown but Maier sprawls well. He's pushed Nielsen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Maier tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.#TD#

McAlister is trying to force a seperation but Cruz has the dominant position.
Cruz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McAlister is defending well.
Cruz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

McAlister escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

It looks like William Cruz has been cut.
Cruz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McAlister.
McAlister is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Cruz seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dean McAlister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McAlister rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Cruz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Cruz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McAlister lands with a slapping head kick. #ROC2#

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! McAlister throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Cruz is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
