Bam Bam uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Bam Bam lands a nice shot that snaps Shelby's head back.
A jab from Shelby misses. Shelby fails with the takedown and Bam Bam counters with a thumping low kick. Shelby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It looked like Bam Bam wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Shelby misses with a double jab
and Bam Bam counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice leg kick lands there from Bam Bam. Shelby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Shelby on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bam Bam. Bam Bam obviously looking to wear him down.

Luke Bam Bam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shelby is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bam Bam. Bam Bam lands a nice shot that snaps Shelby's head back.
Shelby walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bam Bam. Luke Bam Bam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bam Bam lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Shelby sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Shelby looks winded! Shelby throws a poor cross that misses

#ROC# Shelby is rocked! Bam Bam fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Shelby to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Shelby looks to clinch but Bam Bam throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Shelby taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

#R1# Shelby takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. A left and a right from Cragla both land. Nice combination. Shelby wants to clinch up but Cragla keeps it at a distance. Shelby shoots in and drives through. Cragla sprawls well. Cragla stuffs the takedown attempt from Shelby. Shelby gets slowly back to his feet. Cragla throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shelby closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cragla circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Shelby. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shelby tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cragla defends well and Shelby ends up having to push Cragla into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Cragla throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Shelby shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cragla can do anything to dispel that myth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cragla wants to get back to his feet.#T1# Shelby throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Cragla is refusing to be controlled, as Shelby sits in half guard. Shelby has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cragla is trying to get back to full guard. Shelby sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cragla defending well though. Shelby perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Cragla is staying active underneath Shelby, who seems content to just control the action from this position. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nice shot by Cragla.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shelby shoots in for a takedown but Cragla shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A little jabbing left from Cragla on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Shelby throws a head kick that misses and Cragla counters with a left to the body. #TD# Cragla gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cragla is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Shelby trying to control the position from guard on top but Cragla is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shelby preventing the sweep. #T3# Shelby wants to control from the top but Cragla keeps moving. Cragla utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cragla looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shelby is one step ahead there. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shelby is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cragla wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Cragla closes the distance and lands a one-two. Ron Shelby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#T4# Shelby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Cragla counter with a right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shelby's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cragla connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shelby scrambles back to his feet. Cragla works over Shelby's head and body with a nice combination. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cragla, as that shot connected.
Shelby throws a low kick, looking for Cragla's leg but Cragla calmly moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamiril Cragla dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2# Cragla is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Ron Shelby is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cragla throws a body shot but no joy. Cragla throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shelby on the side of the head. Cragla fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shelby manages to avoid it. Cragla lands with an uppercut that bounces Shelby off the cage and back into range. Shelby gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Shelby looks to clinch and Cragla counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shelby throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Cragla has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shelby with a poor takedown and Cragla counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cragla paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.#ROC2# Shelby is rocked! Shelby ducks right into an uppercut from Cragla. Oh Shelby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#T1# Shelby tries to close the distance and clinch but Cragla swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cragla throws out a counter right but Shelby avoids it with no problem. Shelby seems to have got his legs back now. Shelby gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cragla counters with a left to the body. Shelby takes a jab right on the kisser.

Cragla thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Shelby to his feet! Shelby is in big trouble! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shelby tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cragla sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shelby somewhat. Cragla looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Cragla's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shelby under the eye. Jamiril Cragla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#KD2# Cragla feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shelby sprawling to the canvas! Shelby rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cragla finish him?!

Cragla throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shelby on the side of the head. #T3# Shelby throws a lazy head kick and Shelby takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cragla misses the shot to the body. Cragla feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shelbys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Shelby with a lazy takedown attempt and Cragla connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shelby takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Shelby tries to clinch up but Cragla circles away and keeps his distance. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cragla jabs Shelby right on the nose. Shelby blinks but takes it well. Cragla with a jab. Cragla lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Cragla defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shelby. Cragla's corner calls for a 1-2. Cragla obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. #T4# This has been an exciting period of action! Shelby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cragla throws out a counter right but Shelby avoids it with no problem. Cragla is pawing at Shelby, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Shelby's nose. Shelby is badly hurt! Cragla pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Shelby tries desperately to hold on but Cragla is relentless in his assault! As Shelby receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Cragla away and this one is in the books!

#R1# Decent striking displayed by Shelby there. Shelby shoots in but Simpson avoids the takedown attempt easily. A little feinted left hand from Simpson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Shelby tries for a takedown but Simpson circles away easily#CL# and Simpson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. #BC# Simpson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shelby throws a sloppy head kick #CL# and Simpson counters by moving into the clinch. Shelby changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Simpson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Horrible takedown attempt by Shelby or perhaps it was just good defense by Simpson, which made it look bad.
