#R1# Mechant swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Freeman.#CUT2# It looks like Maria Freeman has been cut. Mechant lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Freeman looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. #ROC2# Freeman is rocked! Mechant drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Freeman's head, knocking him out cold! Mechant is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stalling in the clinch from Freeman.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Freeman just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sheperd's brow. Sheperd has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Freeman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.#T1##BC2# Sheperd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A head kick misses from Sheperd. Freeman misses with an attempted mid kick.

Sheperd tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Freeman defends well and Sheperd ends up having to push Freeman into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Freeman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #TD2# Sheperd is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Freeman's half guard. Freeman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.#ES# Freeman uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Freeman preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looked like Freeman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.#TD2# Sheperd shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sheperd showed some decent athleticism there. #ES# Freeman manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sheperd keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Sheperd has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Freeman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Sheperd tries to land a knee to the head but Freeman blocks with his arms.

Lahey working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Richmond wants to sweep but no luck. Lahey lands a couple of elbows.#SUB# Richmond has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lahey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lahey is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. #ROC2# Richmond is rocked! Lahey advances position into side control! Oh Richmond is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Richmond can't do much from the bottom here. Richmond is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lahey connects with a decent elbow. Lahey cracks Richmond with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Lahey immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Richmond is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Lahey!
