Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bielski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Smith misses with a low kick as Bielski jumps back. Bielski lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nice defenses there by Smith.#CL2# Smith closes the distance and clinches. Smith is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. I was talking to Bielski's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Bielski gets underhooks to prevent Smith's takedown attempt.

Aught is pressed up against the cage. Joshua has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Aught down to the mat. Aught avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Aught scores with a jab to the jaw.#CUT# It looks like Anthony Joshua has been cut. Joshua throws a body punch but Aught moves out of range. A jab from Aught does it's job there. Aught scores with a jab to the head.
Aught comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Aught checks the leg kick nicely there.
#CL# Aught fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Joshua, pushing him back against the cage. Aught working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aught lands a left hand.

McGregor swings and misses with a shot to the body and Jaccard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. McGregor takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jaccard lands a jab to the head.

Captain Hook gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fury counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Captain Hook throws a right hand that Fury ducks under and follows up with a left that Fury also avoids with ease. Captain Hook should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Fury misses with a wild combination.

Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Fury finished him against the ropes.

#R1# Melendez tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range. It looked like Smith was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Melendez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Melendez throws a body kick that misses. Smith lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Melendez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Smith fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Melendez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Smith scores with a jab.#CUT# It looks like Giblert Melendez has been cut. Smith lands a high kick!
Smith paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Smith lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Melendez crumples to the floor! Smith milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Joshua is looking to take this one to the mat.#TD# Opposite has hold of one of Joshua's legs. Joshua is fighting the takedown attempt but Opposite gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Opposite looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Opposite will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Opposite tries to free his leg and advance position but Joshua is retaining full guard. Gustafsson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Gustafsson throws a body shot but no joy. Gustafsson misses with a series of wild punches.

That was a close second round but I would say that Anthony Joshua will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
