#R1##TD2# De La Hoya drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Howard being controlled for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Howard wants to control but De La Hoya postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howard tries to bench press De La Hoya off him but De La Hoya keeps the position. De La Hoya controls the position from side control. Howard can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Howard trying to remain calm as De La Hoya controls from the top position. De La Hoya wants to control but Howard is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Howard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Howard is looking to regain half guard here but De La Hoya keeps moving and retains side control. #T1# De La Hoya lands an elbow. De La Hoya lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Howard down.
De La Hoya tries to move into full mount but can't pass Howard's legs. De La Hoya working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
#ROC2# Howard is rocked! Howard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Howard looks to move to half guard but instead De La Hoya has passed into mount! Damn! Oh Howard is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! De La Hoya postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Howard in real trouble here! The ref calls for Howard to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

#CL# Mccray clinches up with Izawa and pushes him back against the cage. Mccray really is a fat lump. Mccray is trying to break the clinch but Izawa has him pressed against the cage. #TD2# Izawa gets a trip takedown into half guard. Mccray has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Izawa is working away from the top position though. Mccray moves into full guard.
Izawa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mccray is keeping the position for now. Mccray might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kei Izawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! #R3# Mccray throws a solid leg kick but Izawa takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mccray. Izawa unleashes a big counter combination but Mccray bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Mccray enables Izawa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mccray manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mccray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Izawa trying to control but Mccray postures up.

Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Izawa is proving a slippery customer.
Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Izawa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Izawa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jackson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Izawa is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
