#R1# Chan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
#CUT2# It looks like Jesus Chan has been cut. Towler lands a nice looking body shot.
#CL2# Towler clinches. #TD2# Towler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Towler trying to keep a closed guard but Chan is proving a slippery customer.
Towler wants to sweep here but Chan controlling him for the moment. Towler has control of Chan's left arm, preventing Chan from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Chan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Towler being controlled here, momentarily. #T1# Chan throwing strikes but missing. Towler has control of Chan's left arm, preventing Chan from doing any damage. Towler working a defensive guard but Chan manages to pass into side control anyway.
Towler wants to get back to his feet but Chan drags him back down. Towler seems a little lost for a moment, as Chan dominates the positioning. Chan throwing strikes but Towler manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! #T2# Chan pushes Towler away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Towler gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Chan looks to move to half guard but instead Towler has passed into mount! Damn! Towler wants to control the pace but Chan is squirming around nicely. Towler won't let Chan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Towler content just to control the position here. Chan tries to reverse the position but Towler maintains control. Chan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Chan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Chan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.#T3##ES# Chan pushes Towler off and scrambles back to his feet.
Chan shoots in for a takedown but Towler shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.#CL2# Towler gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.#TD# Chan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!#SUB# Chan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Towler is looking to reverse the position. Towler is trying to escape and get back to his feet.#T4# Chan lands an elbow. Chan landing strikes. Towler gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#SUB2# Towler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chan pulls his head out easily. Chan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Towler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #SUB# Chan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Towler defend it? Chan steps over the head and cranks it - Towler is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chan!
