#TD# Benson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kyznetsov regains guard.
#ES2# Kyznetsov uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Benson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kyznetsov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#TD# Benson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kyznetsov to the ground. Benson is now in Kyznetsov's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Benson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Benson controls from within his opponent's guard. Benson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Benson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Benson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kyznetsov! Benson with shots to the head and body - Kyznetsov looks very uncomfortable down there. #T1# Kyznetsov is in all sorts of trouble here.
Benson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #SUB# Benson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kyznetsov is surviving well by controlling Benson's body position as best he can. Benson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Benson controlling from mount. #SUB# Benson looking for a guillotine from mount but Kyznetsov is having none of it. Benson controlling the pace for now. Benson lands a big shot there that rocks Kyznetsov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Benson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kyznetsov grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Benson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kyznetsov. Kyznetsov trying to control but not successfully. #T4# Benson controlling the position well here. Kyznetsov rolled but Benson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

He has the arm isolated but Kyznetsov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Kyznetsov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brutus Benson dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. #R3##TD# Benson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee asks Benson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Benson prefers to stall for the moment though. Benson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Benson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kyznetsov for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Benson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Benson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kyznetsov can do to turn this around?#T1# You can see the frustration on Kyznetsov's face as Benson controls the position.
