#R1# Potts closes the distance and clinches up with Saunders, looking for a takedown. Potts pushes Saunders against the cage but Saunders circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Saunders misses with a telegraphed body shot
#TD# and Potts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Saunders is wriggling around but Potts manages to pass to half guard.
#REVB# Potts will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Saunders keeping control of the position. Potts is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saunders trying to control from the bottom.
Saunders wants to improve his position but Potts is controlling well.
#T1# Potts takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Saunders is trying to maintain the position but Potts is very close to passing his half guard. Saunders is looking to improve his position.
Saunders is looking to control Potts's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Saunders avoid being mounted? Saunders is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Potts jumps into side control! Potts working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Potts is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Saunders's shoulder. That is not cool. Saunders is looking to reverse the position. Saunders can't do much from the bottom here. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Saunders changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Potts tries to avoid it but Saunders manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Potts to the ground. Potts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Saunders closes this distance looking for a takedown but Potts circles away. Potts tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Potts fails to land the takedown.#T3# Saunders dives in for a single leg takedown but Potts sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Felton Potts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Saunders.#TD2# Saunders closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Potts quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saunders looks winded! Potts is concentrating on defense, preventing Saunders from advancing position. #SUB# Potts looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Potts has his hands clasped together around Saunders's back. He's all about the action. Potts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Potts wants to control but Saunders is keeping busy and won't allow it. #T4# Potts tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. #SUB2# Saunders is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Potts defends it well. Saunders wants to take a breather but Potts is having none of it. Potts trying to hold on to Saunders's head to control him but Saunders postures up.
Potts is refusing to be controlled, as Saunders sits in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Potts keeping control of the position. Potts has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Saunders is working away from the top position though.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felton Potts dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Saunders misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Saunders misses with a lunging right hand
#TD# and Potts counters with a nice double leg into side control. Saunders won't be happy with that. Potts in side control lands a decent elbow. Saunders is looking to regain half guard here but Potts keeps moving and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Potts working the ground and pound from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potts throws an elbow but Saunders slips to the side and avoids it well. Potts working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Potts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Potts takes a little break here. Saunders wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.#T1# I wouldn't like to be where Saunders is right now. You can see the frustration on Saunders's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Potts is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Saunders can do to turn this around? Saunders looks to move to half guard but instead Potts has passed into mount! Damn! Potts fails to advance to Saunders's back. Potts is working hard here to advance position. Felton Potts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#T3# Saunders is wriggling around trying to escape.
Saunders is still trying to improve position. Saunders wants to control but Potts is having none of it. Saunders is breathing heavily. Potts landing strikes from the mount and Saunders is in trouble! Potts controlling from mount. Saunders tries to reverse the position but Potts maintains control.#T4# Potts landing punches. Potts controlling the pace for now. Potts in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Potts seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Saunders for as long as he can get away with. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! Felton Potts dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! #R3# Saunders looks to land a combination but Potts avoids it well. Saunders blocks the body kick.

Saunders dives in for a single leg takedown but Potts sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Potts appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Saunders avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Potts displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Saunders. Felton Potts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Potts tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Saunders defends well and Potts ends up having to push Saunders into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Saunders darts in looking for a takedown but Potts gets double underhooks and turns Saunders into the cage. Saunders shoots in and drives through. Potts sprawls well. And Potts counters with a quick kick to the body but Saunders blocks it.#TD# Potts looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Saunders wants to sweep but no luck. Potts is working Saunders over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. #T2# Potts lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Potts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Potts throws a big right hand that misses. Potts not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Potts in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Saunders shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Potts attempts a counter takedown but Saunders avoids it well and moves away. Saunders shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Potts counters with a good, hard body kick but Saunders shrugs it off. #T3# Potts shoots in for a takedown but Saunders shows good takedown defense. Potts tries to clinch but Saunders is having none of it. Saunders is looking to clinch. #CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Saunders goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Saunders has Potts pressed against the cage, preventing Potts from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Potts is looking to control Saunders's arms but Saunders gets an underhook and turns him. Now Potts has his back to the cage. Potts is trying to pull guard but Saunders has him pressed against the cage.#TD# Potts ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Potts no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Saunders missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. #T4# Potts is trying to control the position but Saunders postures up. Saunders wants to control from the top but Potts keeps moving. Potts pulls Saunders in close to prevent any damage. Potts keeping moving, preventing Saunders from controlling successfully. Saunders content to stall in guard here. Potts working a defensive guard here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Saunders trying to control the position from guard on top but Potts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Douglas Saunders has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Felton Potts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Saunders throws a body kick, spinning off balance#TD# and Potts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Felton Potts showed his dominance in that final round. Well Potts has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
