#R1# Brewer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.#TD2# Johnson looking to score a takedown here. Brewer is defending well but Johnson drives through and ends up in Brewer's guard. Brewer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Johnson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Johnson tries to pass to full mount but Brewer defends it. Johnson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Brewer wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson stalling. #T1# Brewer is looking to improve his position.
#SUB2# Johnson seems to be working for a kimura but Brewer defends the submission attempt. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Johnson in particular looking to stall. Brewer won't allow Johnson to pass to mount. Johnson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Johnson trying to mount his opponent but Brewer defends it. Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Brewer is trying to maintain the position but Johnson is very close to passing his half guard.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Brewer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily. Brewer tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neal Brewer. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brewer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Brewer is retaining full guard. Johnson forces his way into half guard.#T3# Johnson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Brewer pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.
Johnson working over Brewer with some ground and pound. Brewer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Brewer is breathing heavily. Brewer tries to kick Johnson off in order to stand up. Johnson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Johnson slows the pace down. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big shot lands for Johnson! That's hurt Brewer! Will he recover? Johnson fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
