Ryback lands an uppercut. Ryback working some nice short punches in the clinch. Chunk is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ryback gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ryback lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A right hook to the body lands for Ryback.
Ryback stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Ryback creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Ryback trying to land knees to the body.

Chunk's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ryback lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. #BC2# Ryback breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chunk needs to keep his hands up - Ryback had a free shot at his head there. Ryback scores with a nice right hand.
Ryback stuns Chunk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ryback connects with a body shot that sends Chunk's belly button to the back. Chunk looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Chunk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ryback counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.#ROC2# Chunk is rocked! Chunk has his takedown stuffed and Ryback counters with a nice uppercut. Oh Chunk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nice takedown defense from Ryback. Chunk seems to have got his legs back now. Ryback lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Chunk. Chunk is breathing heavily. A shot in the inside from Ryback. Ryback lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Ryback pushes Chunk back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Ryback scores with a hook to the body.#T3# Chunk avoids a wild elbow strike from Ryback. Ryback pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Ryback lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Chunk has Ryback pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ryback manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Ryback dips a shoulder and cracks Chunk with a mighty uppercut! Chunk falls back against the cage and Ryback unloads with a barrage of strikes! Chunk is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Ryback screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

#R1# Smith Jr walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Smith Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Thunder throws a counter combo. Mikey Smith Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith Jr throws a right and a left that Thunder avoids nicely. A lazy left from Smith Jr finds it's target.#CUT# It looks like Bruno Thunder has been cut. Thunder darts in looking for a takedown but Smith Jr gets double underhooks and turns Thunder into the cage. It looked like Smith Jr wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Thunder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith Jr pinned against the cage. Smith Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Thunder takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Smith Jr connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Thunder! He's out on his feet! Smith Jr rushes in and drops Thunder with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Chunk throws a looping overhand right but Northstar ducks down to avoid it. #TD# Chunk looking to score a takedown here. Northstar is defending well but Chunk drives through and ends up in Northstar's guard. Northstar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#SUB# Chunk drops back looking for a leg! Northstar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Northstar manages to kick Chunk off! Chunk jumps back into Northstar's guard. Northstar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chunk is one step ahead there. Chunk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Northstar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. #T1##SUB# Chunk drops back looking for a leg! Northstar is in trouble here! That could be painful for both fighters.#CUT2# It looks like Bruno Thunder has been cut. Thunder shoots and misses and Coulthard counters with a straight right hand. Thunder tries to clinch but Coulthard is having none of it. Decent striking displayed by Coulthard there. Thunder doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Thunder misses with a takedown and Coulthard counters with a nice uppercut. Coulthard cracks a nice hook into Thunder's ribs. Thunder scoring well with a low kick there.

Rhys Coulthard dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bruno Thunder's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Coulthard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Da Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Chunk won't allow Da Silva to get back to his feet. Da Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chunk is one step ahead there. Da Silva working a defensive guard here.
Chunk landing with the ground and pound. #SUB# Chunk has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Da Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Chunk is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Da Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Chunk to sleep! This one is all over!

Max Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Watts shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. #ES2# Anderson uses the cage to get back to his feet.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Watts is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. #TD# Watts works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. #T1# Anderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Watts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard. #SUB2# Anderson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Watts rolls with it to try and escape but Anderson cranks on the arm and Watts is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jack!#SUB2# Dunc is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jack is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jack is looking for a sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Dunc wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jack, who protects the arm well. His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Pateman connects with a right hand. Thunder shakes it off. Pateman lands a lovely overhand right. Thunder shoots for a double leg takedown but Pateman sprawls well. He's pushed Thunder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A little jabbing left from Pateman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Nice cross by Pateman. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pateman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pateman has had enough of the clinch but Thunder keeps him there for the moment. Thunder looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. A short right hand to the side of the head by Pateman. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Pateman scores with an uppercut up the middle. Thunder prevents Pateman from breaking the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! John Pateman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pateman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
