#R1# Lorentz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Huffman avoids it really well and circles away. Huffman thinks about countering with a body kick. Lorentz throws a push kick but Huffman slaps the foot to one side. Lorentz jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
#CUT2# It looks like Moses Huffman has been cut.#CL2# Lorentz moves into the clinch.#BC2# Lorentz breaks from the clinch.
Lorentz tries a low kick but Huffman avoids it. Huffman thinks about countering with a head kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Lorentz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.#BC2# Lorentz manages to break the clinch.
Lorentz tries for a takedown but Huffman circles away easily#TD# and Huffman counters with a nice double leg into guard. Lorentz is wriggling around but Huffman manages to pass to half guard.
#T1##REVB# Lorentz taking some punishment here, with Huffman in his half guard. Lorentz holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Huffman thows a huge punch but Lorentz dodges it nicely.
#SUB2# Lorentz looking for submissions off his back.#SUB2# Lorentz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Huffman pulls his head out easily. Huffman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#SUB# Huffman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lorentz defends it well. #T2# Huffman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Lorentz taking some punishment here, with Huffman in his half guard. Nice strikes from Huffman there. Lorentz tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Huffman manages to move to mount!
The referee warns Lorentz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
#T3# Huffman with the ground and pound from mount. Huffman looking to finish Lorentz with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lorentz! Huffman fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Huffman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lorentz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
#SUB# Huffman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lorentz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lorentz shrugs it off. Huffman lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lorentz hang on? Lorentz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huffman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Huffman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.#SUB# Huffman has control of Lorentz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lorentz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Huffman avoids the attempt from Lorentz to control.#T4##SUB# Huffman has hold of Lorentz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lorentz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lorentz is in all sorts of trouble here.
#SUB# Huffman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Moses Huffman dominated that round. The cut man is working on Moses Huffman's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2# Lorentz fails to land the takedown. Lorentz has a takedown stuffed. Huffman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lorentz. Moses Huffman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Lorentz. Lorentz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Huffman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lorentz somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lorentz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Huffman pinned against the cage. Huffman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #T1# Lorentz tries for a takedown but Huffman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Huffman is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lorentz. Lorentz is breathing heavily. Lorentz throws a combination that misses #TD# and Huffman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lorentz won't be happy with that. Lorentz wants to get back to his feet but Huffman is dominant here and he's now got Lorentz's back! Huffman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lorentz can do to turn this around? Moses Huffman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lorentz trying to control but not successfully. Huffman lands shots from the back. Huffman is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Lorentz up.
