#R1##TD2# Smith throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ross was covering up waiting for the punch and Smith finishes the takedown easily into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB# Smith has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ross to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Smith is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ross pulls down on the head and he's put Smith to sleep! This one is all over!

Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sampson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Smith. Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Noah Sampson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Declan Smith. Smith with a poor takedown and Sampson counters with a good low kick that Smith was not able to check. #CL# Sampson has managed to clinch.

Sampson eventually gives up the hold. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. #R1##TD# Bowman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bowman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kamali tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Kamali is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bowman lands with some strikes. Kamali is bucking up trying to escape but Bowman cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Bowman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bowman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bowman lands punches and elbows. Bowman cracks Kamali with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Kamali from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Tracy has hold of Ross's hands but Ross slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ross lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Royle trying to control but Horton is working from the bottom. Royle tries to free his leg and advance position but Horton is retaining full guard. Horton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Royle can do anything to dispel that myth.
