Carpenter is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Carpenter trying to stall but Lauzon improves his position.
#BC2# Lauzon breaks from the clinch.
#CL2# Lauzon moves into range and clinches up with Carpenter. Carpenter is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Lauzon lands with a short shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lauzon trying to land knees to the body.
#TD2# Lauzon works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Lauzon pushes down on Carpenter's leg and manages to get into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lauzon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Carpenter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lauzon on the ground.#T1# Lauzon trying to mount his opponent but Carpenter defends it. Lauzon is nestled in close to Carpenter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lauzon slows the pace down in half guard. Lauzon lands with a punch from half guard. Lauzon works his way into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# Lauzon advances nicely into full mount. Lauzon controlling the pace for now. Lauzon landing shots from mount. #SUB2# Lauzon is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Carpenter is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Carpenter flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Lauzon anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Carpenter and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Lauzon slips an arm under Carpenter chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lauzon has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lauzon is squeezing on Carpenter like an anaconda would it's prey. Carpenter fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
