And an attempted straight right on the counter from Powell! But no joy. Powell slaps away a takedown attempt from Lil, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lil ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Powell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lil is fending him off so far but Powell persists. Nope, Lil circles away and we're back to standing. Lil slips under a jab from Powell. Powell misses with a wild body shot. #TD# Lil fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Powell sprawls well initially but Lil persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
