#TD# and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ortiz is trying to keep Smith in close.
Smith wants to control from the top but Ortiz keeps moving. Smith throws a strike but Ortiz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB##SUB2# Ortiz drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Ortiz off! McMunges sprawls well initially but McGee persists and gets the takedown into half guard. McGee is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. McMunges knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGee on the ground.#SUB2# McGee is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McMunges has managed to free his arm - good work. McMunges wants to control but McGee passes into side.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King tries to stand but McNally is controlling from the bottom. King controls from within his opponent's guard. McNally is trying to keep King in close.
McNally can't keep his opponent in guard - King advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tallus sitting in guard here, content to control. Kenney is trying to control the position but Tallus postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tallus is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kenney trying to control the position.
Tallus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.#T1##REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
