Sig Farkenheil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# Brown rushes Farkenheil and presses him up against the cage. Brown fails to pull guard.
Farkenheil prevents the takedown attempt.
Farkenheil gets through Brown's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Farkenheil looking to slow down the pace here. Farkenheil can't get the takedown.
Brown manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Farkenheil throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Brown crashing down! Brown tries to stagger back to his feet but Farkenheil just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Brown asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Osiris trying to control the position from guard on top but Merrill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Merrill looking for a sweep. Not yet Merrill, not yet. Osiris looking to sit in guard and control but Merrill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Merrill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Merrill content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Merrill seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Merrill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. Khahaar trying to mount his opponent but Hatfield defends it. Khahaar is still trying to improve position. Hatfield tries to roll over but Khahaar keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
