No luck with that takedown attempt from Hendrix.
Doe was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Hendrix tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Doe throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range. #TD2#
Doe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hendrix did well to prevent Doe getting side control.
Hendrix wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hendrix has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doe is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hendrix defends well.#T3#

Hendrix is fighting to break Doe's control of his arms but Doe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doe can do anything to dispel that myth.

Doe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hendrix pinned against the cage. Hendrix gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hendrix appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Doe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Doe is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Hendrix is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Hendrix flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Doe anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Hendrix and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Doe slips an arm under Hendrix chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Doe has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Doe is squeezing on Hendrix like an anaconda would it's prey. Hendrix fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
