Smith is trying to control the position but Combs postures up.
Combs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SUB2#

Smith has an active guard here but Combs has managed to pass into half guard.
Smith is looking for a sweep. Combs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Combs has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Combs has hold of Smith's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Smith manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Chaney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chaney off to one side.
Jones steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Chaney.
Chaney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chaney gets slowly back to his feet.#TD2#
Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jones is chipping away with strikes.
Chaney takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Chaney wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jones is now in half guard.
Chaney is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chaney is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Chaney wants to control but Jones is having none of it.

Jones cracks Chaney with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Chaney has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Jones has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Chaney has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
