Irfan darts in trying to clinch and DeLeon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Irfan takes one on the button. Irfan ducks right into an uppercut from DeLeon. This has been an exciting period of action! DeLeon lands a body shot.
DeLeon connects with a crisp jab. DeLeon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. #ROC# Irfan is rocked!#T1# DeLeon drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Irfan right on the button. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Boyka has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Boyka tries to break free but Howitzer pushes him back against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Boyka wants a takedown but no success here.

Boyka falls back against the cage and Howitzer unloads with a barrage of strikes! Boyka is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Howitzer screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
