Lancaster blinks but takes it well.#CUT2# It looks like Pedro Lancaster has been cut. A lazy left from Santana finds it's target. Santana misses with a body shot.
Lancaster could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Santana cracks Lancaster with an open hand slap. Lancaster avoids the body shot from Santana.
Lancaster tries to counter with a takedown but Santana is quick to defend against it.#TD# Lancaster closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Santana wants to get back to his feet but Lancaster drags him back down. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Santana can do anything to dispel that myth. Lancaster landing strikes. Lancaster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Santana is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lancaster asserts his dominance and retains side control. Lancaster working away diligently from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crime lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

It looks like Crime might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
