Frederick is trying to drag Boomstaak to the mat but Boomstaak just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Frederick controlling the action here for a moment.

and Frederick counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Boomstaak throws a series of punches but Frederick moves out of range. Boomstaak tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Frederick avoids it. Boomstaak creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Frederick's defenses. #CUT2# It looks like Hung Frederick has been cut.#T2# Boomstaak misses the knee to the body. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Boomstaak gets underhooks to prevent Frederick's takedown attempt.

Frederick lands with a slapping head kick. #CL2# Boomstaak closes the distance and pushes Frederick back into the cage. Frederick tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hung Frederick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boomstaak scores with a knee to the head.
