Hide tries to counter by clinching up but Van breaks away and moves out of range. Van misses with a takedown attempt and Hide counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.#TD2# Van shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hide moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hide is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Hide is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Van reverses the position - he's now on top in Hide's guard. Durruti has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Stringfellow finds it's way round the side to connect with Durruti's head. Durruti connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stringfellow's hands. Durruti keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quintana working the head and body with strikes. Quintana slows the pace down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quintana scoring with punches from side control. Duffy wants to get back to his feet but Quintana drags him back down. Duffy is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Harvey is keeping the position for now. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.#T3# Batina looking to sit in guard and control but Harvey gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB# Batina is pulling down on Harvey's head to control his posture. #SUB# Batina is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Batina has a closed guard, preventing Harvey from standing up. Batina looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Harvey wants to clinch and Batina counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Batina shoots in looking for a takedown. Harvey tries to sprawl out of it but Batina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harvey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. It seemed like Harvey was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donald Harvey dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! #R2# Harvey misses with a straight left. Harvey lunges at Batina with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Batina's hand. Batina shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Harvey counters with a lovely shot to the body. Batina walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Batina takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Harvey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Batina shoots in for a takedown but Harvey shows good takedown defense. Harvey stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. This has been an exciting period of action! and Harvey counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Batina! He's just covering up as Harvey starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
