#R1# Severson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
#CL# Severson has closed the distance and engaged Ilich in a clinch.
Ilich has Severson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Severson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Ilich goes for a takedown in the clinch but Severson prevents it.
Severson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ilich backwards. Ilich is trying to drag Severson to the mat but Severson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jay Severson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vlantimir Ilich. Severson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ilich.
Severson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Severson lands a right hand. Severson is defending well against a takedown attempt. Ilich is working for takedown but Severson is calmly controlling the position for now. Ilich drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We're back to striking at a distance. Ilich looks winded! Severson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Severson digs a good body shot into Ilich's ribs. I was talking to Severson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Severson lands a body punch in the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Severson working some nice short punches in the clinch. Severson lands a shot to the body. Severson digs a right hand underneath Ilich's ribcage. Ilich let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short right hand to the side of the head by Severson. A short right from Severson. Ilich drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
#T2# A short uppercut from Severson. Severson lands an uppercut. Severson lands with a light punch inside. Severson lands a big right hand that drops Ilich! The killer instinct kicks in and Severson finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Severson!

#R1##CL# Mccormick gets a clinch. #TD2# Mccormick is fighting off a takedown attempt but Anag is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mccormick to the mat. Mccormick regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Anag trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #SU2# Anag stands up from Mccormick's guard - Anag perhaps looking for a knockout. #CL2# Anag has managed to clinch.
Mccormick has had enough of the clinch but Anag keeps him there for the moment. Anag has Mccormick pressed against the cage, preventing Mccormick from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mccormick fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Mccormick ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mccormick no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mccormick wants to stand up but Anag is controlling him. Mccormick really is a fat lump. Anag showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Mccormick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anag on the ground.#T1##SU2# Anag stands up from guard. Let's bang! #TD2# Anag feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mccormick can't keep his opponent in guard - Anag advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mccormick is pressing down on Anag's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
