We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Criato can do anything to dispel that myth. Criato looking for a sweep. Not yet Criato, not yet. Wells might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Lop Criato. Well Criato has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Lacroix cracks Beasley with a solid left hand. Lacroix is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Beasley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lacroix must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lacroix chips away with some ground and pound. Beasley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. That was a close second round but I would say that Luigi Pennington will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Black was covering up waiting for the punch and Pennington finishes the takedown easily into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Pennington throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Black works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Black seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pennington could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Black trying to keep a closed guard but Pennington is proving a slippery customer.
