#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Cruz does it's job there. Smurder looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cruz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Smurder under the eye. Cruz stalks Smurder and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Smurder's face. Smurder staggers backwards, shaken. Smurder tries to clinch but Cruz moves out of range. Cruz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Smurder is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cruz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Smurder has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smurder there as he acknowledges the shot. The crowd cheers as Cruz lands an impressive looking overhand right. Smurder doesn't seem phased though. Cruz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smurders jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Cruz misses with an uppercut. Smurder saw that one coming. Cruz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fight stays on the outside here - Smurder looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Smurder walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Cruz scores with a jab. Cruz lands a jab to the nose. Cruz misses with a straight left. Smurder with the counter takedown but Cruz avoids it easily.#CL# Cruz gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cruz lands with a right to the head. #T1# Cruz lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Cruz.#BC2# Smurder's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Horrible takedown attempt by Smurder or perhaps it was just good defense by Cruz, which made it look bad. Cruz swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Nice cross by Cruz. Cruz with a nice cross. Cruz lands with an overhand left. Smurder has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cruz finds it's way round the side to connect with Smurder's head. Cruz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
#ROC#Smurder is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smurder walks straight into a right hand from Cruz - that's dropped him! Cruz jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Smurder from any more punishment! Smurder complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

#R1# Hernandez looks to land a combination but Rivera avoids it well. Rivera is looking for the big counter here. Rivera should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hernandez misses with a few strikes there.
Hernandez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hernandez takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Rivera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hernandez as he jumps to the side. #TD# Hernandez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rivera manages to get to full guard.
Hernandez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rivera seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. #T1# Rivera wants to sweep but no luck. Hernandez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hernandez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#SUB2# Rivera has his foot on Hernandez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hernandez works his way back into a safe position though.#SUB2# Hernandez content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Rivera has locked up a guillotine! Rivera's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hernandez is holding on here and Rivera must be using up a lot of energy. Hernandez has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rivera gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

#R1##TD# Smurder gets caught flat footed, as Costello shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Costello is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Smurder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Costello with a nice head shot there.#SUB2# Costello is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Smurder has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Costello is looking to defend but Smurder has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Costello! Smurder pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Costello taps out and this one is all over!

#R1# Nice body punch from Souza. Souza connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Barber momentarily.
#CUT# It looks like Tyson Barber has been cut. Souza wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Barber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Souza but Souza pushes him off and we're back to square one. An attempted straight right counter from Souza misses the target. Barber fails to land the takedown. Barber shoots and misses and Souza counters with a right hand to the body. Pedro Souza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Barber. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Souza works Barber's body with a nice hook. Barber looks winded! Souza scores with a shot to the body.

#R1##TD# Draxler drives through with a takedown into Hernandez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Draxler's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hernandez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hernandez can do anything to dispel that myth. Hernandez managing to control the position. Draxler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hernandez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hernandez keeping full guard, as Draxler tries to pass. Draxler is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draxler chips away with some ground and pound. Hernandez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Draxler postures up and lands a big shot to Hernandez's brow. Draxler pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hernandez is keeping the position for now. Hernandez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Saiyaman throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. #CL# Napz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Saiyaman, pushing him back against the cage. Saiyaman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Napz has him pressed against the cage. Napz prevents Saiyaman from breaking the clinch. Saiyaman looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.#BC# Napz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A head kick misses from Saiyaman. Saiyaman swinging wildly here.

Rockwell works over Tonka's head and body with a nice combination. Rockwell works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Tonka throws a wild body kick that Rockwell sees coming a mile off. Tonka on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rockwell moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Rockwell changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rockwell throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Tonka slips a straight right by Rockwell. Tonka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rockwell tries to avoid it but Tonka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rockwell to the ground. Rockwell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jab from Rockwell. Tonka misses with a takedown attempt - Rockwell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rockwell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tonka back to the cage. Rockwell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Tonka takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Rockwell sizes up Tonka with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Rockwell lands with a hook. Tonka tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Nice straight punches there by Rockwell. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rockwell. Tonka shoots in looking for a takedown but Rockwell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tonka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jinx manages to end up in side control. Dos Santos is trying to improve his position. Dos Santos wants to control but Jinx postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jinx throwing shots but missing, from side control. Dos Santos keeping his opponent close. Jinx working away.#T1# Jinx in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nice move. #REVR# Parsia working Jinx over with strikes. Jinx on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jinx moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Parsia cracks Jinx with a solid left hand.#ROC# Jinx is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jinx looking for a sweep. Not yet Jinx, not yet.
