Genes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Power fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Genes throws a leg kick but Power sees it coming and checks it nicely. #TD# Power gets the takedown into side control. #SU# Power decides to stand up, so the ref orders Genes to his feet. Power lands a leg kick that knocks Genes off balance momentarily. A punch combination from Power misses. Genes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Max Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Power changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Genes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This has been an exciting period of action! Genes is positioning himself to get back to half guard. #T1##SU# Power stands up and beckons Genes to his feet. Genes goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Power appears to be looking for a counter takedown.#TD# Power looking to score a takedown here. Genes is defending well but Power drives through and ends up in Genes's guard. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Power can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Genes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dio Genes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Estes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Estes thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
